Cadet Championship – Round 9

Round 9 of the championship. Qualified 2nd, in the first heat I was spun out on the first lap, I drove hard and ended finishing 5th. I started heat 2 on the front row and won the race. Kept my clean run of A finals in tact. My kart had no straight-line speed. Lap by lap I tried to defend but it wasn’t possible, I drove as hard as I could but the best I could finish today was 8th.

Fulbeck Owner Driver Test Day

Today we completed a 300 mile round trip up to Fulbeck Karting Circuit. The day was an Owner Driver testing day and I combined it with my ARKS test. The kart was fast, it felt good and everything clicked today. We’ve worked hard over the past two months and it’s paying off. It’s been a fantastic day.

ARKS Race Licence

Last night we headed up to Lincolnshire to stay only a few miles from Fulbeck Karting Circuit because we had to be there for 8am. Today was the day I did my ARKS test. My driving part of the test couldn’t have gone any better and the written side of the test I passed with 100%. So now I can enter official race meetings as a fully qualified Karter 🙂

Cadet Championship – Round 8

Round 8 of the championship and it’s good to be back. Weather is foggy and the track is damp. I qualified in pole and won Heat 1. I worked my way up and finished Heat 2 in 4th. Made it through to the A final, keeping my clean run of A finals in tact to start 2nd on the grid. The race didn’t go to plan. I got hit and spun in the first corner on the opening lap ended up finishing 8th.
