Tonight was the 2022 Great Ormond Street Charity Endurance race. We entered a team called The Kart’el which consisted of myself, Sam, Ronnie & Hudson.
I qualified for the team in 7th position out of a total of 25 teams. Each driver then drove for half an hour each in the two hour endurance race. I was driving first and made a good start making up one position off the lights and then drove as hard as I could moving up the field lap by lap. I ended my stint in 1st position and handed over the kart to Sam and then Hudson and then Ronnie to end the race. Our pitstops for driver changes were excellent and the quickest out there. Each of us drove well, very competitive lap times and we each played our part.
By the end of the race we were in first with a 31 second lead, so we crossed the line to be the 2022 endurance race champions.
I no longer race at Brentwood because of my owner-kart commitments but it was great to go back there this evening and walk away a winner.
Now onto Bayford Meadows this weekend for the next race in the BMKR Championship.
