It’s our first race weekend back with our new kart (JHR-02) and Saturday testing couldn’t have gone much better. The first couple of sessions were ironing out any small set-up issues we had, getting the kart comfortable for the driver and making sure everything was running as it should. The build begins so we are race ready in a week
We have purchased a new kart and we have set ourself a target of one week to fully build and prepare our next race challenger, JHR-02. By Tuesday we had picked up our new kart and were stripping the old one. By Thursday we were fitting the seat and setting pedals and by the Saturday she was complete and had run to test everything. The demise of our chassis marked a difficult race
It’s the 5th round of the BMKR summer championship and our results at this circuit have been improving throughout the season. We had our first podium only two races ago so we were hopeful of a good result this weekend. Fast mid-week track test at PF International
August is a quiet month for Championship racing as we only have one official race which it later in the month, so we headed up to Grantham for a test day at PFI. We headed out on our usual Maxxis test tyres but after finding the right gearing set-up etc we decided to bolt on a brand new set of Mojo’s. Mixed weekend for JHR at BMKR Round 4
This weekend was round four of the BMKR Summer Championship. It’s been a mixed weekend with the weather, track conditions and a broken chassis for most of our running on Sunday. We did the best we could and didn’t give up in difficult and frustrating conditions. But as they say, these things happen in motorsport. A clean-sweep at LIKC Round 4
This weekend was round four of the LIKC Summer Championship at Lydd. The weather is mixed with a wet Sunday forecast so set-up was essential. Overnight we checked back on previous data to try to get the best kart set-up we could for wet running, adjusting the set-up to what we thought would be best for the conditions. Front row start and podium finish at BMKR
This weekend was round three of the BMKR Summer Championship. Saturday testing went well and the kart was feeling good for Sundays race. Jacob qualified on the front row for the race in 2nd, although the top three had identical lap times. Bayford is a track that we have been working hard at and we push every month to work our way up the grid. This weekend turned out to be our best so far. Click here to read full article
New Lydd Jnr. Rotax Lap Record Holder
After our successful clean sweep in the LIKC championship yesterday, today came the final confirmation that I am officially the lap record holder for Lydd in the Junior Rotax category. This is now the second time we have broken the lap record as we first broke it last summer, so to take it back was the perfect ending to a great weekend of racing. JHR Documentary – The First Year
High Court productions in association with University of Essex, The Focal Point Gallery and SCC will be airing a documentary on JHR and the first year racing. The documentary tells the story of Jacob starting his racing career in rental karts and quickly moving up to owner karts and the creation of our own race team.
