Today we are back at Brentwood for Round 10 of the Super League. Although this is round 10, it’s only my 6th race due to owner driver commitments that mean I miss two races a month.
I had a pretty bad kart for qualifying and heat 1. I qualified 6th and drove as well as I could with a kart that was pretty unstable and didn’t have much straight-line speed, I did however make up a few positions to finish 4th.
I started heat 2 in 5th, was given another shocking kart and was like a sitting duck so needed up finishing in 8th.
That meant I started 7th in B-final so was not happy. I wasn’t going to let that spoil my race so headed out to do the best I could. I had a much better kart and was able to start picking up the places. I ended up finish 2nd, which meant that I get through to the A-final 🙂
I started at the back of the grid, made up 3 places in the race and finished 8th.
I am happy with that because this was the 3rd time I made the A-final in only six senior kart races.
I have one more race of this championship left next week before I head off to do the next two rounds in my own kart.
