We have done a lot of laps already this week but today we headed down to Lydd for a team test day. I can’t go into what we were testing but we had a successful test day, made some good progress, learn’t a lot and are happy with the progress of our kart. Click here to read full article

Say cheese… Publicity and school support
Today marked the official support from my school, JHS & Zenith Trust. As a result their logos now proudly appear on the front of my kart. I got out of a maths lesson for a photoshoot with the head, my kart and some of my trophies as part of an article being published soon about my journey, future plans and the role schools can play in sport.

Owner Driver Track Time
It’s half-term this week and we have been working hard testing and improving the kart. In 4 days we have tested at 3 different circuits: Lydd, Buckmore Park & Bayford Meadows. We’ve completed 370 laps, which was 276 miles. Clocking up all that track time was really useful, we learnt a lot, had a lot of fun, worked hard and have implemented a few additional changes to the kart ready for the next race in a few weeks.
Owner Driver Test Day, Lydd
Today was an Owner Driver test day down at Lydd, so we headed down to get some practice in before the next round of the IKR championship next weekend.
The conditions are perfect for testing as I got to drive on wets and slicks. We also tried a few different set-ups to see what works best. It was a great day and was nice to see the Lydd team. As alway they are so welcoming and helpful.
Fulbeck Owner Driver Test Day
Today we completed a 300 mile round trip up to Fulbeck Karting Circuit. The day was an Owner Driver testing day and I combined it with my ARKS test. The kart was fast, it felt good and everything clicked today. We’ve worked hard over the past two months and it’s paying off. It’s been a fantastic day.
ARKS Race Licence
Last night we headed up to Lincolnshire to stay only a few miles from Fulbeck Karting Circuit because we had to be there for 8am. Today was the day I did my ARKS test. My driving part of the test couldn’t have gone any better and the written side of the test I passed with 100%. So now I can enter official race meetings as a fully qualified Karter 🙂
Whilton Mill – Owner Driver Day
Today we headed out on a 200 mile round trip up to Whilton Mill for an owner driver test day. I completed six sessions throughout the day and after learning the circuit my lap times were getting quicker and quicker. I’m really pleased with the progress I’ve made. I can’t believe I only drove my kart for the first time in December, so much has happened so quickly.
Lydd – Owner Driver Test Day
The kart has had some new bits and pieces added to it recently so today we headed down to Lydd circuit to test them out on an owner driver day. The track was damp all day so it was wet tyre running all day. I achieved my best test times and beat another Junior Rotax kart which I used as a benchmark all day.
