After two championship weekends of karting down and Lydd and Bayford Meadows we could have taken this week off to rest…. but not us, we headed up to PFI for a test day. This is only our third time there but this time we are a lot more experienced so turned up on track, set-up the kart to the right gearing and headed out to see what we could do.
The temperature was cold but dry. The conditions at the start of the session were damp and slippery. Session one was on wets from from session two onwards we were on slick Mojo tyres.
The day went well, the kart was performing and every session I was pushing hard. The day was spent battling with one of my fellow rivals from the IKR and BMKC championships, we battled all day and throughly enjoyed it. We were joined with some friends that we used to race with at the start who now also have an owner kart.
We finished the day 4 seconds quicker than we started so all in all a good test session.
