The 2025 season is our first as a Senior, even though the weather is cold and wet testing is essential. We headed down to Forest Edge race track for their official 2025 pre-season test to get some essential performance data.
The objective of the test was to run the kart, make sure everything was ok and to gain some data for our up-coming races here at Forest Edge. We were hoping for the dry, cold but sunny day the weather forecasters had predicted for the last two weeks…. but no, it was cold and wet all day.
Obviously wet running is just as important so we changed the kart set-up for wet and out we went. The track was very busy with nearly 60 drivers in just our category so before long they had to split the sessions to 30 out at a time. Although this made sense it did mean that there were a-lot more categories throughout the day which means we all end up with less track time and with 7 minute sessions every hour and twenty minutes it’s not ideal.
The day was a success, kart and driver had the pace in the wet and we made huge gains on our lap-time from our race weekend there last year so with all that data logged we move on to the next track in a weeks time, this time up at Fulbeck.
